Youth Programming
Our youth are resilient and powerful. A-STRRONG-U is a curriculum that emphasizes healthy relationships, positive and informed choices and how to bring about peace in the community. Youth complete a 7 week program as a cohort, meet 14 times and graduate with a certificate in Youth Leadership.
Support Groups
A-STRRONG-U serves youth and adults in various settings such as schools, community centers and medical centers. Support groups are ideal for communities that are experiencing surges in violence, loss, abuse, etc. Services are offered in Spanish.
Counseling
Sandra Mosqueda has been providing counseling
services for 8 years. She works with children, youth, and adults. Her areas of expertise are domestic violence, immigration, juvenile justice, drug abuse and couples counseling.
Services are offered in Spanish.
Parent Cohorts
A-STRRONG-U works with parent cohorts in schools and clinical settings. This service is perfect for schools/businesses looking to support their parents by providing them with information that will empower them to bring the community together and improve the quality of life for the families. Services are offered in Spanish.
Fathers and Family
This program reaches out directly to businesses in the community. We provide parent cohort services to fathers at their place of employment. The focus is to create a bridge of communication between fathers, their children and partners.
Employee Workshops
Aside from working with parents and youth, A-STRRONG-U also provides workshops for staff that work with children. The workshops are geared towards child development, children who struggle social emotionally, bullying, and any other child/classroom social emotional related topics.
